"NICOLAE POPOVICIU" School from Beius is a general obligatory teaching institution and it carries on its activity with 2 teaching cycles: primary and gymnasium.
It has a number of 845 pupils with an age between 6 and 15. The school has 32 collectives of pupils, 20 in the primary cycle and 13 in the gymnasium cycle.

The school has two buildings. Nicolae Popoviciu, the Orthodox Bishop of Oradea, built the old one in 1939.
The new building was built in 1968 with funds taken from the state’s budget.
The school has 32 classes for courses, (4 laboratories, 1 Chemistry, Physics, Biology and a laboratory with computers), 7 laboratories for (Romanian, Mathematics, History, Geography, English, French, Music), 2 workshops and a gymnasium.
In the gymnasium cycle the activities of teaching intensively the English language are carried on in 5 forms and their number is increasing.
